MOL — “Skipper Tracks”

Baltimore-based More Or Less Records has released “Skip­per Tracks”. This 4-track com­pi­la­tion fea­tures my min­i­mal techno track “Snake Eyes”. Super!

The guys at More Or Less are lovely gen­tle­men, work­ing hard to bring new sounds to the world. Here’s what they have to say about this release :

“First mate, Matt Dia­mond, is com­ing to us from the Envi­ron­men­tal Aes­thet­ics naval divi­sion. Car­ry­ing degrees in both neu­ro­science and com­puter music com­po­si­tion, we have no idea how he made it onto this boat. Glass is a calm before the storm – lush, lay­ered and for­bod­ing. When sec­ond mate Ryan Van­der­beck is not play­ing the part of stow­away he can be found finess­ing slip knots and tweak­ing knobs for the Rizumu flotilla sta­tioned near Philadel­phia. Blend­ing ele­ments of Detroit Techno with clas­sic house, the strictly hard­ware based Korg Love puts the wind in the sails. Cur­rently resid­ing in San Fran­cisco our third mate, Jeremy Blake, is an appari­tion who stalks the lower decks late at night. Snake Eyes, con­structed dur­ing his shore leave in Bal­ti­more, will shiver ye’ with tim­bre (and basslines) in this party starter of a track. Cap­tain Sopo, aka Techno Brah, scut­tles the ship with One Ping Only. A gnarly syn­the­sizer creeps around this track, leav­ing lit­tle time to inflate the life rafts.”
