MOL — “Skipper Tracks”
Baltimore-based More Or Less Records has released “Skipper Tracks”. This 4-track compilation features my minimal techno track “Snake Eyes”. Super!
The guys at More Or Less are lovely gentlemen, working hard to bring new sounds to the world. Here’s what they have to say about this release :
“First mate, Matt Diamond, is coming to us from the Environmental Aesthetics naval division. Carrying degrees in both neuroscience and computer music composition, we have no idea how he made it onto this boat. Glass is a calm before the storm – lush, layered and forboding. When second mate Ryan Vanderbeck is not playing the part of stowaway he can be found finessing slip knots and tweaking knobs for the Rizumu flotilla stationed near Philadelphia. Blending elements of Detroit Techno with classic house, the strictly hardware based Korg Love puts the wind in the sails. Currently residing in San Francisco our third mate, Jeremy Blake, is an apparition who stalks the lower decks late at night. Snake Eyes, constructed during his shore leave in Baltimore, will shiver ye’ with timbre (and basslines) in this party starter of a track. Captain Sopo, aka Techno Brah, scuttles the ship with One Ping Only. A gnarly synthesizer creeps around this track, leaving little time to inflate the life rafts.”
Pick up the release on Beatport, iTunes, eMusic, and Juno, and make sure to check out the rest of the catalog from MOL. It’s all fantastic.
